WHO ARE WE?
The Top of the Hill Gang of New England is a ski and sports club created for energetic persons who enjoy the camaraderie of year-round activities. Through the Gang you'll meet with friends who thrive on an adventurous, active way of life, and participate in recreational and social activities geared to our generation. We're not trying to recapture youth!. What we offer is an opportunity to continue to live a life filled with satisfying experiences with friends of similar interests through the discovery and rediscovery of the joy and vitality of many activities.
HOW DID THE TOP OF THE HILL GANG GET STARTED?
The "Top of the Hill Gang" emerged from an organization originally formed in April 1987. The initial meeting attracted 65 people age 50 and over and resulted in 35 members. By our 10th anniversary in 1997, membership grew to 300. In 2006 we now have over 400 members. We will be celebrating our 20th anniversary in April 2007. During the years we have skied at Stowe, Sunday River, Sugarloaf, Wachusett, with week long trips to Canada, U. S. Rockies and Europe. Members enjoyed golf outings locally in Vermont, Maine, and on Cape Cod. The hikers have climbed Mt. Washington, Great Falls, Monadnock and more. Bikers have traveled through numerous New England towns, Cape Cod and the Islands, plus the Netherlands, France and Austria.
