Join Mo and Hedy on a 4.75 mile hike on the Midstate Trail.  The hike begins at 171 Willard Road, Ashburnham. We will walk on Willard to Whitney Road down a somewhat steep path to meet the Midstate Trail on which we will head gradually back uphill through Westminster State Forest, over Bragg Hill to Muddy Pond. From Muddy Pond we will walk back on the road to 171 Willard.  Total hike time of about 3 hours.

Proper hiking shoes are an express requirement to cover everyone’s safety (parts of the Midstate Trail require crossing rivulets, stepping on tree roots, etc); walking poles are very helpful.  Leashed dogs welcome on the walk (team leader will be bringing their dog on the walk). Please bring water and insect repellent.

We will then take the cars to have lunch at The 1761 Old Mill Restaurant and Pub in Westminster at approximately 1:30PM.

9:00 am Carpooling for this trip for those that can meet at the Market Basket in Littleton.  Park on the left side of the lot as you come in.
