Start your TOHG 2025-26 ski season at the AMC Highland Center Lodge! Located just two miles from the Bretton Woods ski resort, which features downhill and cross-country terrain. Stay 1, 2, 3 or all 4 nights.

For those who have attended previously, please pay attention to these instructions as some details have changed!

The Highland Center is one of the many lodges operated by the Appalachian Mountain Club. All rooms being held for the TOHG have private baths and are typically located on the second or third floor with beautiful views. Elevator and bag carts are available at the main entrance. Lots of parking within a short walk from the main entrance.  Free wi-fi is included, but no TV.

There is also a large guest dining room where we can gather for all meals. There's a small gift shop and game room. The Highland Center offers complimentary LL Bean gear for us to borrow on a first-come, first-served basis. The gear room is usually stocked with boots, outerwear, backpacks, hiking poles, and snowshoes, but they do not have any Cross-Country skiing equipment. Inquire at the desk when you arrive.

It's also worth mentioning their ample sitting room with a gaslit fireplace that is always glowing. Great for reading, socializing, puzzles and games.  

Additionally, a separate private space will be provided for our daily après-ski gathering. Bring your favorite snacks and non-alcoholic drinks to share. Alcoholic drinks are available for purchase on premises during meal hours.

 Watch for TOHG hiking opportunities in the area sometimes led by other TOHG leaders who attend this trip. They will announce how to register and plan for these additional activities.

• Double occupancy - $256/night per room (tax not included)

• Single occupancy - $150/night per person (tax not included)

• Buffet-style dinner each night, including your day of arrival, and breakfast each morning. (Lunch is available on premises each day for an additional charge; take-out orders, with notice the night before.)

Reserving Your Room:

Step 1:  Book your room by October 15, 2025, directly with the Highland Center, details in the email announcement.

IMPORTANT: You may reserve after that date, but you may not be assured a private room. More importantly, by calling their number and not booking online, the AMC can properly quote TOHG special pricing and prepare for our group with room assignments together and dining room arrangements.

Payment in full is required when you reserve. If you are room sharing, you must designate one person to charge the room and then split the cost among yourselves.

Step 2: Register at the TOHG website AFTER you book with the Highland Center. Each trip participant must register separately with TOHG.

Lift Tickets:

Lift tickets and downhill ski passes will be available online at brettonwoods.com. Various discounts offered to Seniors. If you plan to cross-country, call 603-278-3322 to check on cross-country trail conditions, rentals and pricing at the Nordic Center (trails and center located at the Mt. Washington Omni Hotel).

Downhill skiers are required to wear ski helmets on all club-sponsored trips.

Cancellations:

Please inquire about the AMC cancellation policy and possible penalties when you reserve your room with the Highland Center. Additionally, to cancel or change your reservation dates with TOHG, email the trip leader.
