Walden Park Pond Trail

Visit the site of Henry David Thoreau’s home and a replica of his cabin where he supposedly wrote Walden Pond.  We will walk around the pond (about 2 miles of easy trails) and perhaps one or two of the other short trails. There is also a visitor center and book store  This is a state park and they charge $8 to park for in-state cars.  They do not take cash so be sure to have a credit card. We will meet at the Visitor Center at 10 AM on May 18. The address is 915 Walden St., Concord MA.  After the hike, we will go to one of the Concord restaurants. This park can be crowded but I doubt that will be the case on a Monday this early in the season.
